BSW thread plug gauge is used to verify the accuracy of internal BSW(British Standard Whitworth) screw threads, developed by Joseph Whitworth, are s specific type of screw thread with a 55 degree thread angle. These gauges are essential for ensuring proper fit and interchangeability of parts, particularly in applications using the order Whitworth thread standard.
BSW thread gauge available with GO thread plug gauges, NOGO thread plug gauge and combination GO/NOGO thread plug gauges. Thread plug gauge are made of bearing steel, each thread gauge supplied with calibration certificate.

1. Do not use it for non-gauge inspection purposes, because there are functional sharp parts in the thread and the corners
of the gauge part, which is easy to cause injury to the operator.
2. Before use, please use oil to invade the gauge and the product, or wipe it with a clean cloth to confirm whether the gauge
has rust, scratches, burrs, etc.
3. When using, apply fully with anti-rust lubricating oil, do not apply impact to the gauge.
4. When storing the gauge, dust, chips, etc. should be removed first to prevent rust. Store the gauge in a place where there is
no moisture and the temperature does not change much, and check it regularly.
1.Inspect internal BSW threads (e.g., nuts, threaded holes) for correct pitch diameter and thread form compliance.
2. Verify BSW threads in legacy British-engineered equipment.
3. Check threaded components in vintage vehicles or machinery using Whitworth standards.
4. Ensure proper sealing in pipe fittings with BSW threads (e.g., hydraulic systems).
5. Assess wear/damage in existing BSW threads during overhaul or reassembly.
6. Confirm compatibility between BSW-threaded parts from different manufacturers
